Spaghetti with Garlic and Oil (Dad's)

  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • olive oil
  • 6 cloves of garlic

Boil water in large pan. Pull off 5 or 6 cloves from garlic bulb, peel and slice and dice them to small pieces. In large frying pan, pour in olive oil, about 1/4 high. Put in garlic and heat slowly (can brown but don't burn).

When water is boiling, add spaghetti, cook according to package directions (perhaps 9-12 minutes). Stir with wooden spoon and from time to time, take one strand and eat to determine if done.

Drain water, turn off oil and mix with garlic in oil in large bowl.
