Gwen and Joe were married October 3rd, 1981 and spent the first night of their honeymoon in Dana Point. For their 25th anniversary, their children (and one child's fiancee) gave them a gift of a second honeymoon in Dana Point at the Blue Lantern Inn.

The Blue Lantern Inn is impressive as it overlooks the entire Dana Point harbor. They arrived and found they had the best suite (301) in the hotel (Gwen's comment was "Our children must love us very much"). It was basically an entire wing with a raised ceiling under the top floor turret, views on three sides, canopy bed, champagne, candy, and a large balcony. They arrived to an open door to the balcony. The weather and view were so great that the balcony door was never closed the entire time.

After champagne and wine and cheese buffet (all provided), they walked next door to Cannon's Restaurant which was the restaurant where they had breakfast after their honeymoon night 25 years ago.

In the morning, they had complimentary breakfast at the Inn and then relaxed - not wanting to leave their incredible accomodations. After checking out, they toured the harbor below and took some pictures of the Inn from the harbor. Gwen and Joe agreed they would never forget this second honeymoon!
