In October, Adam came to San Diego accompanied by his dad, Chris. We spent the next week touring the surrounding areas. The first day we went to our first Mexican meal at Tio Leo's where Marie's friend Erin served us. We then travelled to Mt. Soledad and then home to rest (catch Chris) and dinner. On Tuesday, the 17th, we went east to Julian, a small town about 50 miles east in the mountains famous for apple pies. Unfortunately we brought the wrong camera (without batteries). We have one picture from Marie's camera. On the way home, we stopped at Henry's market where we shopped and hassled Martin (he works there). On Wednesday, we traveled to the outlet mall for Rockport shoes and then general shopping at Costco's. In the late afternoon, Adam and Joe replaced a front light in Joe's SAAB. On Thursday (resurrected the camera again), we toured Cabrillo National Monument which overlooks San Diego Bay and all the way to Mexico. Friday we toured Rancho Santa Fe and Old Town, made a quick trip to the student center in UCSD and had dinner with the total San Diego family at Buca di Beppo's. Saturday Chris and Joe walked the canyon in the morning, then the crew went shopping for the rest of the day. On Sunday, we watched football. In the late afternoon, some went shopping to get Chris a Charger football jersey.
